New Analysis of Protein Arginine Methylation in Colorectal Cancer

This proteome-wide analysis of protein arginine methylation in colorectal cancer based on human surgical specimens is another example of the developments occurring in our field with real impact on disease diagnosis.

For histological detection of the methylation status of colon cancer, we recommend our Product #800002 Anti-mRG. This IgG-purified polyclonal antibody specifically binds to methyl-arginine proteins in situ. Examples of colonic cancers illustrate that methylprotein-specific staining (brown reaction product) can appear in either punctate (peri-nuclear), cytoplasmic or mixed patterns. (see Figure below)
