Director of Research

John M. Aletta is a Co-Founder, Director of Research and Principal Scientist at CH3 BioSystems. In 1997, the Aletta Laboratory was the first to demonstrate a requirement for specific protein methylation in the cellular development of neuronal model systems. Since that time the Aletta Lab has remained in the forefront of protein methylation research in neuronal development and disease. Dr. Aletta has been continuously funded as a Principal Investigator through federal grants and/or the Rett Syndrome Research Foundation since 1995. On March 2, 2004, he was awarded USPTO #6699673 for his invention of Protein Methylarginine-Specific Antisera.
